1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using ShapeArena (“the Service”), available at shapearena.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, you should not use the Service. Your continued use of ShapeArena after any changes to these Terms constitutes acceptance of those changes.

2. Description of Service

ShapeArena is a free, browser-based game in which users draw geometric shapes (including circles, squares, triangles, pentagons, hexagons, stars, and diamonds) on a digital canvas. Drawings are evaluated by a server-side scoring engine that assesses accuracy, speed, and smoothness. Scores are displayed on public leaderboards.

The Service is provided free of charge and is supported by advertising. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without prior notice.

3. User Accounts and Identity

ShapeArena does not require traditional account registration. Your identity is established through a self-chosen nickname and a unique identifier (UUID) stored in your browser's localStorage. You are responsible for any activity that occurs under your nickname and identifier.

Because your identity is stored locally on your device, clearing your browser data or switching devices will result in the loss of your association with previous scores. We are unable to recover or transfer identities across devices.

4. User Conduct

When using ShapeArena, you agree not to:

• Use offensive, abusive, discriminatory, or otherwise inappropriate nicknames.
• Attempt to manipulate scores, leaderboards, or game mechanics through automation, scripts, bots, or any form of programmatic interaction.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service, its servers, or the networks connected to it.
• Exploit bugs or vulnerabilities instead of reporting them to us.
• Impersonate other players or misrepresent your identity.
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.

We reserve the right to remove nicknames, delete scores, or ban identifiers that violate these rules, at our sole discretion and without prior notice.

5. Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, graphics, logos, and trademarks associated with ShapeArena are the property of Softr Solutions or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on any part of the Service without our express written permission.

You retain ownership of the drawings you create on ShapeArena. By submitting a drawing, you grant Softr Solutions a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to store, display, and use your drawing data for the purposes of operating the Service (including displaying scores and leaderboard entries).

6. Scoring and Leaderboards

All scores are computed server-side by our automated scoring engine. While we strive for consistency and fairness, scoring algorithms may be updated from time to time, which could affect how new and existing drawings are evaluated.

Leaderboard rankings are generated automatically based on recorded scores. We reserve the right to reset leaderboards, remove fraudulent entries, or adjust rankings at any time to maintain the integrity of the competitive environment.

7. Third-Party Services

ShapeArena uses Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google may collect data and use cookies to serve personalised ads. Your interaction with advertisements is governed by Google's own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the content or practices of third-party advertisers.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any defects will be corrected. Your use of the Service is at your sole risk.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Softr Solutions and its directors, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, scores, rankings, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of or inability to use the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

In no event shall our total liability to you exceed the amount you have paid to us for use of the Service, which, as the Service is free, is zero.

10. Modification of Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time by updating this page. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page indicates when the most recent changes were made. It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to ShapeArena at any time, for any reason, without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including, without limitation, intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitations of liability) shall survive.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Bulgaria, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sofia, Bulgaria.
